I just switched from Cavalier DSL to Comcast Cable and must say that I am much more satisfied with my internet experience. In addition, my new package includes DVR and Digital Cable plus VOIP. The cable modem was a little difficult to setup with my linksys WRT54g wireless router. The resolution was to clone my laptops mac address, which was the same computer that the technician setup.
Where I live must be in a prime location because after the installation I did a few speedtests and was downloading 18mbps. This was a huge difference from DSL, which was only getting me about 1.5mbps. Of course, my upload speeds have suffered, but since I am not a server I do not care that much.
In addition, I have rekindled my love for The Current radio out of Northfield Minnesota. This is by far the best radio station on the planet. I have XM and listen to Lucy, XMU, Ethel, however the do not compare to this wonderful station. I have even considered relocating to the twin cities just so that I can listen to this station locally.
