Over a year ago I signed up to be notified when the chumby was available.  It looks like the good people at chumby.com are now ready to sell 3 different colored chumby's.  To be able to purchase one now you will need to be a chumby insider.  Since I am a chumby insider, I can purchase one now if I want.  The only problem is, I don't know that I want to throw down $200 for something that will just sit on my desk telling me all of the things that my RSS reader can.  I mean, for that price I would be better off buying the new Asus Eee laptop.  To make it a chumby I could throw some fur on the casing :)

A year ago this might have been worth it, but now I am not so sure.  It is still a very powerful gadget, it is just not the gadget for me.

If you work in an office building, or somewhere that you can show up your chumby then I could see the attraction.  And if you do pick one up, consider naming it after one of your coworkers.
