So I wanted to see what it looks like to take a single image and change the exposure on it and then merge the resulting images as an HDR.  Here is the original picture that I took sometime around Thanksgiving on 07' on the steps of the Philadelphia Art Museum (Rocky steps).

With 3 different exposures this is the result:

With 5 different exposures this is the result:

Now if instead of tonemapping I do a detail map I get this:

Which do you think looks best?
