I realized after reading the above FAQ that using a single RAW and converting it to a dng can be used inside of photomatix. Previously, I had tried creating different exposures from a single dng and manually merging them. However, now I realize that I can create a surreal HDR like image from a single RAW file. This is great because I do not currently own a tripod and like the ability to snap moving objects without worrying about ghosting. Here is the result of a single RAW shot that I took with +1 on exposure using aperture priority and 100 ISO setting.
